You Inspired Me to Change

Tesha W

You've inspired me to change my way of eating after doing the shoe this weekend (Health Food and Violence), and doing all my research (you would think being in the nursing field would be education enough!) I'm done. My son was telling me he's scared to eat... he doesn't know what to eat. I will be adding my name to the list! So proud of you for accomplishing yet another one of your goals.

I Love Food Like Deborrah's!

Alex B

I am a HUGE fan of comfort food like Deborrah's. *Most* people who have been eating meat 3x a day for 50 years need some help making a transition to a healthier diet. I sure did. I tried going from a very rich, high meat/high-fat diet (when I was a private chef) to brown rice and beans overnight and it was an EPIC FAIL. I love food like Deborrah's and I particularly love serving it to meat-eaters who are asking for tips on how to start eating more veg foods.

Not Vegan But I'd Eat This Anyway!

Charles D

You're so talented and this looks so good, it ALMOST makes me want to convert to Veganism. But I'd eat this stuff anyway.

I Always Thought Vegan Food Was Boring

Jackie on BIke

I always thought Vegan would look so boring. Well! Looking at these photos I can see I was totally wrong. I just need Deborrah to come cook them for me. :)

The Whole Family Loves This New Way of Eating

Why Vegan is the New Black testimonial

I've been following Deb's Facebook posts, and trying some of her recipes. I never thought eating healthy would taste so good. Even my children enjoy it!

Vegan for Years, But Sometimes I Miss My Old Favorites

Bill Y

I clicked on Deborrah's cookbook link and, like you, I am going to get her cookbook because she has some great healthy alternatives to favorite southern dishes I quit eating long before I went vegan, because my favorite southern dishes just raised my cholesterol. But, I do miss them. I am particularly partial to red beans and rice though.

Cannot wait! I also wanted to know when/if you will ever have a Kindle version of your Improve our Assets book available?

I doubt it. The book is image heavy and long, and together that makes the size of the book over their limit. I’d have to split it into two volumes and that’s a pain in the bootay.

OK, Deb, my wife and I are going to get your new vegan cookbook. The photos look absolutely delicious and we can only hope to produce food that looks just as good. Thank you for producing the wonderful gift. May it benefit our people who suffer from so many ailments simply because of our diet. Again, many thanks.

This is a full color paperback. No it is not available in hardback. It is 224 pages. Cost is $24.99. You may wait for a few more weeks and you'll be able to get it on Amazon or order it through your local bookstore and just pick it up there.

I SOOOOOOOOO agree, which was the strongest motivation for me to get off my buns and make this happen. I lost 8 lbs my first month of being a vegan without trying. Why? Because the recipes I was trying online were so Godawful that I was throwing out my food instead of eating it. :/

Wesley, hope you ordered your copy. The orders have already been put in and they are in production as we speak. If not, you can just wait until the first of December and it will be available on Amazon as well as in bookstores. Order extra copies so you can give them away as gifts for the holidays.

Fyi people….Deborrah Cooper is extremely transphobic. Do not buy her books if you support diversity and human rights. She clearly missed her lesson on intersectionality. As an African American vegan woman, she should know better, but sadly she doesn't. She recently posted a nasty transphobic comment on her events page about a trans woman in our local Oakland, Ca whole foods. Screen shots have been saved, if anyone wants proof.
